Very clean, nice staff good rates. Very quiet place, coming from Ayr after being stopped getting through to Townsville because of the floods we were really looking for a Motel that hadn't inflated there prices like what they had done in Ayr because of the floods. Thanks Paradise lodge.
I am pained to give it even 1 star. Old, clean but shall we say some day time and consistant night time activities of coming and going were disrupting, noisey,embarrassing and we hated our stay. Definately not suitable for children. We booked because of the price- $68. Twice it was tried to increase the price. Lesson learnt.
Clean & Tidy Staff were friendly reasonably priced
Now I enjoy a massage as much as the next person but at 10 o'clock at night? The happy ending must have been worth it. We were placed in a room between 2 Asian "ladies of the night" with men coming and going at all hours. With the loud, constant jibber jabber and walking around half dressed, how this motel can claim "best motel accommodation in Mackay" is perhaps only relevant to those renting the room by the hour.Would not recommend and will not be returning.
We've stayed the weekend and its been pretty good, the new managers are friendly and its cheap to we've enjoyed our stay
